Nonstationary Characteristics of Precipitation and Flood Response Under Changing Environment in Taihu Basin, China

نویسندگان

چکیده

Change of the environment, namely climate change and human activities, is influencing hydrological cycles globally. Nonstationary changes have been widely detected in precipitation series, which has significantly increased flood risk various areas. Taking Taihu Basin as typical study area, nonstationary characteristics are analyzed through Mann-Kendall trend test, Pettitt abrupt Sen’s slope estimator Seasonality Index this study. Spatial distributed daily data during 1979–2017 used. An 1D-2D coupling hydrodynamic model built by MIKE Zero to simulate under nonstationarity precipitation. According results statistical analysis, shows increasing trends temporal spatial scales. Especially, torrential rain extreme precipitation, main cause disasters basin, especially highly urbanized areas such Shanghai city. simulation results, increase high correlation with The indicate a great impact urbanization on regional risk, must be well solved social economic sustainable development.

Investigation of Sedimentation of Small Catchments under Precipitation Pattern and Basin Characteristics in Arid and Semi-Arid Climate

Splash (raindrop) erosion plays an significant role in soil loss, especially in arid and semi-arid regions with poor vegetation. In this paper, by analyzing the pattern of rainfalls that occurred during 26 years in four basins located in Semnan County, their effect on the pattern of eroded sediments from the basin was investigated. Sedimentary layers from the sampling of retarding reservoir sed...

Spatiotemporal Characteristics of Dry-Wet Abrupt Transition Based on Precipitation in Poyang Lake Basin, China

The dry-wet abrupt transition (DWAT) is a typical anomaly of precipitation at the subseasonal scale and may result in a severer and greater hydro-meteorological hazard. This paper identified and examined the DWAT events in terms of precipitation in Poyang Lake basin, including both from dry to wet (DTW) and from wet to dry (WTD), during the period of 1960–2010 and analyzed its characteristics o...
